Kristen is a the mother to two wonderful boys, Registered Nurse & Chronic Disease Educator who experienced a sharp turn in her career when she suffered from Aphasia and apraxia after a cryptogenic stroke in 2015. She fought back and after months of rehabilitation she regained her ability to speak and communicate and now is dedicating her life to making a difference in both her nursing career, as well as writing & speaking about her experience.
She is an avid runner, an eternal optimist and has been known to say yes to anything that frightens her.
